Vertical Test Fire

Test Stand Crew & Propulsion Specialist

In January of 2023 I served on the test stand for the University of California Irvine Rocket Project. I was honored with this position for my continued work and expertise in our fluid system and Metha-Lox combustion engine. I was the dewar operator for the Liquid Nitrogen Dewar which served as a chilling reagent for our tanks to prevent quick boil off of our engines. I also was in control of problem solving any filling issues and operating our bleed spouts to negate any back pressure and judge whether or not the tank is yet filled.

I worked with this amazing group of people including my propulsion leads and project manager. This was no easy accomplishment. and was the product of many years of preparation, design, and testing. Now launch of the Preliminary Test Rocket (PTR the Anteater) is slated for April 2023. I cannot wait to serve on the test stand yet again with this group. Once this rocket has liftoff we will begin on a new rocket with myself as the incoming Lead Propulsion Engineer. I cannot wait to get started!
